Since 1949, the Volunteers of the West Amwell Fire Company have provided Fire Protection and more recently Rescue Services to the residents of West Amwell Township and Portions of Delaware Township. 

The West Amwell Fire Company currently operates  out of two Stations staffing: 1 Ladder (75' Quint), 1 Engine, 1 Wagon, 1 Special Services Unit, 2 Brush Trucks, 1 Utility (Duty Ofc/Tow Vehicle) , 1 Command Vehicle and a ATV equipped for patient transport.
